Code Blue
The Lakeway Police Officer Association in partnership with the Lakeway Police Department is starting a new program for our senior and disabled citizens. The program is called Code Blue.

The purposes of this program are as follow:

To allow our senior and disabled citizens to meet and get to know their police officers.
To develop a close partnership wherein our citizens will feel comfortable in calling the police and reporting their fears, concerns, and suspicious activities.
To check often with senior and disabled citizens to assist and encourage them in as many ways as possible.
To inquire regarding the health and well being of our citizens on a frequent basis. This includes making any needed referrals to others agencies or to the families of the senior.
To develop a network to keep seniors aware of the frequent “scams” being directed at seniors.

If you are a senior citizen or disabled person and you would like to participate, or if you know of someone who would benefit from this program, please contact Detective Mary Proctor with the Lakeway Police Department at 512-314-7578.
