Hamilton Greenbelt Map
Thanks to a generous donation from Jack and Myrtle Hamilton, the Hamilton Greenbelt opened in April 1990. Several improvement and additions over the years have resulted in a first class trail network. Thanks to the donation of additional land and funds by Coleman and Mary Smith, as easement by the MUD, and countless hours of volunteer services from Friends of the Parks, the Hamilton Greenbelt trail network, including Smith Greenbelt and Hurst Creek Preserve now offer several miles of both developed and primitive trails which wander along Hurst and Yaupon Creeks. It is a fabulous place for family outings, walks and jogs, a bike ride, or walking the dog (on a leash, of course).
The two main trailheads provide parking. The entrance off Lohmans Crossing Drive (across from the Justice Center) leads you through Hamilton Greenbelt I. The entrance off Palos Verdes Drive leads you through Hamilton Greenbelt II. Other access points include trailheads off Sailmaster Street, Squires Drive, and Clubhouse Drive.
